Commissioned Art

Our artists are usually available to accept commissions. Consultation regarding price, execution and delivery schedule is available at no cost.

Commissioned art, due to its nature, is not covered by our standard warranty. However, as with our other policies at Vertu Arts, we still try to protect the consumer.

When a commission is accepted by an artist at Vertu Arts we negotiate a firm cost with the customer and request 50 percent of that cost as a non-refundable deposit. When the commission is finished, the standard warranty applies to the balance due.

Thus if the consumer finds within ten days of taking delivery that the commissioned work is not satisfactory, they may return the work and receive back all funds paid towards the commission minus the non-refundable deposit. If the ten days elapse and the customer decides within 30 days of taking delivery that the commissioned work is not satisfactory, they may return the work and receive in-store credit for all funds paid towards the commission minus the non-refundable deposit.

All terms regarding condition of goods, delivery, shipping and handling apply as in our standard warranty.
